Mr. Wilber M. Kennedy 79, passed away on Monday, March 3, 2014.
A Graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday March 8, 2014, at Memorial Baptist Church cemetery in Olar S.C. with the Rev. Farrel Ray officiating. He was living in Summerville and born in Barnwell County. He was married to the late Florence Kennedy. He was predeceased in death by 2 brothers also from Barnwell, Ulyses Kennedy and Burnice Ray. He has 4 daughters, Marshal Wall, Louise Webb, Sherry Wine and Tammy Martin all of Summerville. He has 10 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. He was retired from R & M Industries. He also sold produce and was CALLED BY Many “The Watermelon Man”, and also preached the gospel for Jesus Christ. He was a loving father to his family and a loving friend to many. He was sweet and gentle and a true man of God. He was a great protector of his family and friends. He never knew a stranger because he loved everyone. He is going to be missed by so many. He touched so many lives along the way. He had a heart that was truly from God and made of gold.
