Barnwell – Judith Elizabeth Dana, 84, passed away on May 17, 2023. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at Dyches Funeral Home Chapel, 11372 Ellenton Street, Barnwell, SC at 11 a.m. with Rev. Jeremy Creech officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service.
Judith was born in New London, CT in 1939, to the late Warren and Judith Sonnichsen. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Barnwell. She loved tinkering in her garden and watching her hummingbirds. She worked many years in law enforcement. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend and will be missed by many.
She is survived by her son; Clayton (Holly) Dana of Barnwell; six grandchildren, Clayton Dana, Jr. of FL, Rachel (Donovan) Dana of CA, Gregory Raffuse of CT, Murray Colton of FL, Tabitha (Frank) Belbusti of CT and Johnna (Mikey) Dana of CT; one great grandchild, Autumn Gagnon of CT; one niece, Renee Stevens of CT. and many other nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by one son, William Dana, Jr. of CA, one daughter; Diana Dana Colton of CT; grandchildren, Nicole Raffuse and Michael Raffuse.
The family has entrusted Dyches Funeral Home and Crematory with arrangements.
