Blackville – Johnetta Joy Gillespie, 83 passed away peacefully at Regional Medical Center of Orangeburg on November 27, 2017. A private service will be held by the family at a later date.
Johnetta was the daughter of the late John Tomalavage and Ann Charles. She was a registered nurse for 35 years. She loved reading and gardening. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be missed by many.
She is survived by one son, Dereck (Lisa) Gillespie of Barnwell. Four Daughters, Liana Maule, Healing Springs, SC, Cindy (Jerome) Spencer of Seabrook, SC, Rhea Zorn of Blackville, SC and Alicia (Allen) Wise of Blackville, SC. Seven Grandchildren, Kati, J.R., Elizabeth, Laura, Craig, Brian, Jenna and 6 Great Grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband Alec Gillespie and one brother, John Tomalavage.
The family has entrusted Dyches Funeral Home and Crematory with arrangements.
