Barnwell – Mary Ann Walker Haskell, 67, went into eternal rest surrounded by her family August 20, 2019. Funeral services will be Friday, August 23rd, 2019 at 11 am at First Baptist Church, Barnwell, SC, with Rev. Bart Kelley officiating. Burial following at Barnwell Memory Gardens with Rev. David Turner officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, August 22nd from 6-8 pm at Dyches Funeral Home, Barnwell, SC.
Mary Ann was born in Charleston, SC in 1951 to the late Thomas E. and Dora Walker. She retired from Savannah River Nuclear Solutions after 30 years. She was a member of Barnwell First Baptist Church and a member of Willise Keel’s Sunday School Class. She was a breast cancer survivor and a charter member of Barnwell County Breast Cancer Support Group. She was an active supporter of Miss SC Scholarship Organization. She loved sewing, scrapbooking, Disney World, running 5ks and raising her chickens. She was a loving wife, mother and “Mim” (grandmother) and will be missed by many.
She is survived by her husband of 26 years John C. Haskell; four daughters Katrina (Brad) Burt of Barnwell, Kara (Ryan) Gunter of Reevesville, SC, Kami (Glen) Rice of Aiken, SC and Kyler Haskell of Aiken, SC; one sister, Robin (Barry) Judy of Barnwell, SC and one brother Danny (Shelia) Walker of Bishopville, SC.; nine grandchildren: Will, Walker, Reed, Riley, Drew, Kingsley, Ali, Tommy, Edi and her mother-in-law Anna H. Haskell.
She is predeceased by one brother Kenny Walker and her late husband Thomas L. Bigham, Jr.
