Blackville – Helen Dyches, 80, went to be with her Lord and Savior, June 4, 2024, surrounded by family. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 7, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Dyches Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Arnie Shipp officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday, June 6, 2024, from 6-8 p.m. at Dyches Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be private.
Helen was born in Barnwell County to the late Luther and Ruby Owens. She was a member of Hope Community Church of God. She loved painting, drawing, going to yard sales and fishing. She loved her dog “Bella”. She was loved by everyone she knew. She was a loving mother, sister and friend and will be missed by many.
She is survived by her son; David Owens of Blackville; three sisters, May Holder of Hilda, Matlee Holder of Snellings and Annie Holder of Hilda.
She is predeceased by her husband, Henry Dyches and two brothers; Luther and Willie Owens.
The family has entrusted Dyches Funeral Home and Crematory with the arrangements.
