James “Danny” Renew

Barnwell – James D. “Danny” Renew, 78, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 15, 2015. Funeral Services will be held Friday, February 20, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the Dyches Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Philip Renew, Steven Renew, Bruce Fox and Arron Staley officiating. Visitation will be held from 6-8 Thursday, February 19. Burial will be at the Barnwell County Memorial Cemetery. Pall Bearers will be Philip Renew Jr., Stephen Renew, Louie Renew, Danny Wall, Luther Googe and Ricky Germaux.
He served in the Air Force and fell in love with Ruth Tidwell and was happily married for over 46 years when she went home to be with her Lord in 2005.
He worked for Alcoa in Washington State before moving his family back home to Barnwell where he took up farming which he loved and then worked at SRS. He loved making crafts, visiting family and many friends, and most of all serving the Lord. He will be missed by many.
He was born in Barnwell, the son of Martin Renew and Eloise Renew. Survivors are one daughter Marquita (John) Hughes of Maine. One Brother, Martin Renew of Barnwell. A number of nephews.
His family would like to thank the caring staff at Southern Palmetto Hospital, Danny Wall, Philip Renew and all the people who were there from him on Sunday.
