Williston – Kenneth “Ken” Michael Miles, 62, went to be with his Lord and Savior on August 23, 2023. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. August 31, 2023 at Dyches Funeral Home Chapel, Barnwell, SC.
Ken was the son of the late Willie (PaPa) and Harriet Still. Ken never wanted to be defined by his addiction and mistakes, he was simply a man who fell into addiction’s grip and it can happen to anyone; it does not discriminate. He was a man who could tell you bible scriptures, bible stories, having read the entire Bible at least four times in his life. He could talk your ear off about anything and everything. He was a great storyteller to his daughters and grandchildren. He loved making them laugh. He had a great sense of humor. He would do anything for anyone and give you the shirt off his back. He could fix almost anything. He loved his family deeply and will be truly missed.
He is survived by his three daughters, Susan Miles of Williston, Ashley (Britt) Pender of Barnwell and Diane (Jerry) Odom of Williston; his daughters mother, Felicia Haddon; grandchildren, Jax Davis, Payton Miles, Savannah Bolen, Madilyn Bolen, Isabel Heltibridle, Shelby Heltibridle, Ashby Heltibridle, Bradlynn Tarter, Craig Pender and Clay Pender; brother, O’Neal (Dot) Miles of Blackville; sisters, Norma Jean (Allen) Owens of Williston and Elaine Turner of Blackville; stepbrothers, Ray Turner of Columbia and Ronnie Turner of Sumter; as well as many aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his parents, stepfather William Turner, sister JoAnne Miles and stepsister, Donna Jean Turner Windham.
If you are struggling with addiction, please get the help you need before it’s too late.
The family has entrusted Dyches Funeral Home and Crematory with the arrangements.
