Mary Elizabeth Rowell

Hilda, SC- Mary Elizabeth Rowell, 90, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, May 5th, 2015 at home. A graveside service will be held Thursday, May 7th at 4 pm at the Hilda Southern Methodist Church cemetery with the Rev. Gene Carroll and Andy Sandifer officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 6 to 8 pm at Dyches Funeral Home.
Born in Barnwell County, Mrs. Rowell was the daughter of the late Joe and Addie Grubbs Still Bonds and a lifelong member of Hilda Southern Methodist Church. She was a loving mother, wife and grandmother and will be missed by many.
Survivors include a son, Gene (Shirley) Rowell of Hilda, a grandson, Brian Rowell of Hilda; 2 granddaughters, Kristle (Andy) Davis of Blackville and Kelly (Dustin) Carroll of Olar; 3 great-grandchildren, Austin and Taylor Davis of Blackville and Morgan Carroll of Olar; one sister Addie Evelyn (Ralph) Moody of Kline and a very special friend and caregiver, Emma Brown of Blackville. She is predeceased by her husband, Douglas Rowell; 2 brothers; Leroy Still and Ansel Still and 4 sisters, Felma Williams, Alma Collins, Joann Weeks and Verna Platt.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the cemetery fund of Hilda Southern Methodist Church, P.O Box 69, Hilda, SC.
The family would also like to thank Pruitt Health Hospice for the care they administered to Mrs. Rowell
The family has entrusted Dyches Funeral Home and Crematory of Barnwell with the arrangements.
