Mr. Will, as everyone knew him, was a devout Christian and an active member of Bethel Church of Olar, SC. He loved playing his pedal steel guitar in the Bethel Praise Band. He was devoted to the Lord Jesus Christ, his family and his wife of 36 years, Pat Terry.

Mr. Will was born on December 12, 1934, in Hampton County, and was a son of the late Martin E. Terry, and Lena M. Terry.  He was employed by Brunson Construction as a carpenter and retired after 50 plus years of service.

Mr. Will enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping in the mountains.  He will be remembered for his love of music, and his expertise playing the Steel Guitar and Dobro.  He, along with his brother, Wendell, were well-known in the Hampton and surrounding areas for their country music band.  They were first known as the Valiants, and later as The Country Edition.  They were the featured country band at the Hampton County Watermelon Festival for 30 plus years, and also played on Saturday nights at the Hampton National Guard Armory.  Not only was he well-known, but he was loved by everyone who knew him.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Pat, of the home, son John W. (J.T.) Terry, daughters, Elaine King and special friend, Larry Jarrell, Donald (Trudy)  Murdaugh, all of Hampton, Tressy Wooten of Nixville, Gretta Terry of Hampton, Jason (Dana) Dziadaszek of Yemassee, and son Dean (Ann) Roberts of Ridgeland.  He also leaves 13 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews who loved their Uncle Will.  Mr. Will was preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Lena Terry, and brother, Wendell Terry.
