Betty L. Rexrode

Barnwell – Betty L. Rexrode 85, passed away at home on Wednesday, September 12th surrounded by family. A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, September 19th, 2018 at 7 p.m. with visitation one hour prior to service at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Barnwell, SC with Brother Carl Adams officiating.  Burial will be in the Barnwell County Cemetery.
She was the daughter of the late Layman McDermitt and Esther Tomlinson. She was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She enjoyed quilting, crafts, baking, yard work and helping others. She had a special place in her heart for animals. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed by many.
Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Keith Rexrode. Two sons Rickie (Dianne) Rexrode of Hollandale, Mississippi and Steven (D’Vonn) Rexrode of Santa Maria, CA. One daughter Tina Whittington of Barnwell, SC. Nine Grandchildren and 21 Great Grandchildren. Two brothers, Lloyd McDermitt of Richmond, Indiana and David McDermitt of New Paris, Ohio. Two sisters, Rosetta Brower of Eaton, Ohio and Susie Bumpus of Kentucky. The family would like to thank Keyata Priester her loving caregiver.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Barnwell, SC.
The family has entrusted Dyches Funeral Home and Crematory of Barnwell with the arrangements.
