Greenwood – Christopher Harold Gleaton, 34, passed away on May 2, 2024, at Self Regional Hospital, Greenwood, S.C. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
Christopher was born in Greenwood, S.C. on May 17, 1989. Chis never met a stranger and was always offering a helping hand to anyone in need. Everyone who knew Chris loved him and he touched everyone’s life who he encountered. He was a “Jack of all trades” who could accomplish anything he set his mind to. He had passion for doing tree work and anything to do with being outdoors. Chris loved life to the fullest and loved spending quality time with family and friends.
Surviving family members include his fiancé of 11 years, Brandi Allen of Waterloo, S.C.; his mother, Teresa (Calvin Brown) Gleaton of Waterloo, S.C.; his father, Billy (Christina Suazo) Gleaton, Sr. of Greenwood, S.C.; two brothers, Billy Gleaton, Jr. of Ware Shoals and Joseph Gleaton of Greenville, S.C. ; three nieces, Belle and Kenzie Hammond both of Ware Shoals, S.C. and MacKenzie Tullis of Ninety Six, S.C.
He is predeceased by his brother Allen Hammond.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be sent to Dyches Funeral Home, 11372 Ellenton Street, Barnwell, S.C. 29812
The family has entrusted Dyches Funeral Home and Crematory with arrangements.
