Ralph O’Neal Owens, Jr. (Neal)

Barnwell, SC – Ralph O’Neal Owens, Jr. (Neal), 49, departed and entered into eternal rest at the Aiken
Regional Medical Center surrounded by love on October 23, 2022, after a long illness. A private family
service will be held later.
Neal was born in Bamberg, SC on January 8, 1973, to the late Ralph O’Neal Owens, Sr. and Margie Marie
Owens. He was a member of Reach Out Ministry and loved his Lord and being a prayer warrior for
others. He worked in Construction and was self-employed. He had a love for dogs and chickens.
He is survived by Sisters, Theresa O. King of Aiken, SC; Connie Blakely; and MaryAnn “Bre” (John) Scott,
of St. Helena Island, SC; a Beloved Aunt, Nell Hutto of Barnwell, SC which he referred to as “mom” and a
cousin Clint (Melinda) Hutto of Barnwell, SC; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He is predeceased by his Father, Ralph O’Neal Owens, Sr., his mother, Margie Marie Owens of Blackville,
SC, Maternal grandparents Clinton and Mertie Hebrard of Norway, SC, Paternal grandparents Martin
Bellinger Owens and Eva Sanders Owens of Blackville, SC; a Cousin Dewayne E. Hutto of Barnwell, SC; a
very loyal and dedicated friend and prayer warrior, John McHenry of Barnwell, SC and his beloved and
best friend (fur baby) Miho.
The family has entrusted Dyches Funeral Home and Crematory with arrangements.
