Barnwell – Stephen Leroy Grubbs, 57, passed away at Aiken Regional Medical Centers on June 13, 2022. A Celebration of Life will be announced at later date.
Stephen was the son of the late Willie and Juanita Grubbs. He was employed by Mitch Johnson Construction of Aiken for 36 years. He loved fishing, hunting, cooking and building. He was a loving husband, brother, uncle and friend and will be missed by many.
Survivors include his wife of 26 years Mary Ann H. Grubbs; daughters, Tonya (Marcus) Nunnally of Gastonia, NC and Sonya Kale of Duncan, SC; two sisters, Teresa (Juan) Esparza and Ann Ameta (Robert) Cook of Barnwell; brother-in-law, George (Mia) Handberry, Jr. of Martin, SC; numerous nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by one brother Curtis Sparks.
The family has entrusted Dyches Funeral Home and Crematory with the arrangements.
