Tonnia Westmoreland Long 78, of Barnwell, SC passed away peacefully at her home April 24, 2014. A memorial service will be held at Hagood Avenue Baptist Church on Saturday April 26, 2014 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Ken Cato and Rev. Gene Long. Burial will be at the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery. Born February 19, 1936 in Morristown, TN she was the daughter of the late Jack and Thelma Westmoreland. She was a member of Hagood Avenue Baptist Church in Barnwell also a member of the choir and Ruth Sunday School class. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be miss by many. She was the widow of the late Tommy Long. Surviving are a daughter Peggy (William H.) Still Hilda, SC, one brother Billy (Judy) Westmoreland, Barnwell, SC, three sisters, Ann (James) Smith, Morristown, TN, Nell (Sam) Duncan, Waynesboro, TN, Mary Jo Katz, Seminole, FL. She was Predeceased by daughter Sue Smith and sisters Jackie Odom Sox, Lexington, SC, Sandy Noe and Jane Massey, Morristown, TN. She is also survived by two grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
The family ask in lei of flowers that donations be sent to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Ronald McDonald House or Cancer Society.
