Anna H. Haskell

Barnwell – Anna H. Haskell, 92, went to be with her Lord and Savior on September 2, 2023 surrounded by family. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. at Barnwell First Baptist Church officiated by Dr. Jimmie E. Harley and Rev. Bart Kelley. Visitation will be held at Dyches Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Barnwell Memory Gardens.

Anna was the daughter of the late Wilbur and Lyra Harley.  She was married to the late Robert O. Haskell for 51 years. She was retired from Denmark Technical College. She was a former youth Sunday school teacher at Denmark First Baptist and a current member of Barnwell First Baptist. She loved being a part of her Connor Sunday school class and loved reading her bible and wanted everyone to know about Jesus. She loved gardening, scrapbooking, spending time at the YMCA and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend and will be missed by many.

Survivors include her son John C. Haskell of Barnwell; one brother, Dr. Jimmie E. (Gayle) Harley of Greer, SC; one sister; Linda (Rudy) Still of Barnwell, SC; four grandchildren, Katrina (Brad) Burt of Barnwell, SC, Kara (Ryan) Gunter of Reevesville, SC, Kami (Glen) Rice of Aiken, SC and Kyler Haskell of Williston, SC; nine great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her late husband Robert O. Haskell, she is preceded in death by her son Owen Haskell; brothers, Gerald Harley, Thomas Harley and Willie Wayne Harley; daughter in law, Mary Ann Haskell.

Memorials may be made to Barnwell First Baptist Church, 161 Allen Street, Barnwell, SC 29812.

The family has entrusted Dyches Funeral Home and Crematory with the arrangements.
