Robert “Bob” Branton, Jr.

Robert “Bob” Branton Jr., husband of Elaine Branton, died at their home in Kline on August
29th, 2023.
Bob was born on February 12, 1948 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. He was the son of Hazel Bryant
Branton and R.C. Branton Sr. (both deceased). Bob graduated from Chicora High School in
Charleston, SC. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He graduated from the
College of Charleston. Bob worked as a legal investigator in Barnwell.
He is survived by his wife Elaine Branton. He had three siblings: John (deceased), Don and
Harriet.
Bob had three children: Rebekah Cantrell of Atlanta, Joseph Branton of Barnwell (deceased)
and Matthew Branton of Charleston.
He also had six grandchildren: Patrick, Jacob, Joseph, Tallulah, Lockwood and Benjamin.
Bob knew he was a sinner saved by grace and died loving the Lord Jesus.
No services will be held.
The family has entrusted Dyches Funeral Home and Crematory with the arrangements.
