Augusta – Hammond “Butch” I. Peebles, Jr. 72, passed away on November 14, 2020. A private burial will be held at a later date due to Covid 19 restrictions at West View Cemetery.
Butch was born in Augusta, GA to the late Hammond and Doris Hagin Peebles. Butch was a member of Augusta First Baptist Church. He was retired from The City of Augusta after 20 years of service as a small engine mechanic. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He was a loving brother and uncle and will be missed by many.
Survivors include his sister Faye Strickland of Augusta; his niece Stephanie Johnson and Great nephew Jonathan Johnson of Martinez, GA.
The family has entrusted Dyches Funeral Home and Crematory with the arrangements.
