Springfield – Joy Kimberlyn Sturm, 54 went into eternal rest on December 2, 2020. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Dyches Funeral Home Chapel, Barnwell, SC with the Rev. John O’Cain officiating. Visitation one hour prior to service. Due to the current pandemic and CDC regulations, social distancing and other guidelines will be in place; facemasks will be required.
Joy is the daughter of Claxton “Sam” and Patsy Stevenson of Springfield, SC. Joy loved the beach and going to the mountains to pick apples. She loved to read and to cook and spending time with her grandson and family and friends. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter and grandmother and will be missed by many.
Survivors include her husband of thirty years Robert “Bob” Sturm; one daughter, Katelin (Justin) Bishop of Barnwell; one grandson, James Ryan Bishop; one sister, Mickaylla (Joey) McDonald of Walterboro; one brother, Sam (Wanda) Goff of Orangeburg; many niece and nephews and adopted loved ones.
The family has entrusted Dyches Funeral Home and Crematory with the arrangements.
