Peggy Jean Still Jackson

Peggy Jean Still Jackson passed away on November 27, 2023, in Hendersonville, NC surrounded by her loved ones.
Born in January of 1934 in Olar, SC to John H. and Janie Lou Still as one of six children. She was married for 67 wonderful years to the love of her life, Earl V. Jackson. Along with a blessed life, she had a love for music and enjoyed playing the piano. She loved singing with her husband and children in church and around the piano at home.
She served faithfully alongside her husband in ministry as Southern Baptist missionaries in Idaho and Utah.
She worked for 23 years at Mann, Hadfield & Thorne Law Firm in Brigham City, Utah as a legal secretary. Her calm, kind demeanor soothed the emotions of clients and aided the firm in delivery of quality legal services to their clients. Her co-workers became life-long friends. After retirement, she was not only missed by her co-workers, but by clients as well. Her boss stated, “She is truly a beautiful Christian woman and always conducted herself in a positive, kind and gentle manner.”
She enjoyed spending time with her family. She also enjoyed cooking, traveling, gardening and any outdoor activity with her husband, including motorcycle rides, flying in his Cessna, skiing, camping, fishing, etc.
She was a loving caregiver to anyone who needed her.
She had a servant heart and shared her love of Christ as a teacher, leader, pianist, and every opportunity to touch the lives of everyone she met.
In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by her husband and five siblings.
Peggy is survived by her son, Phil Jackson (Kathy) of Hagerman, ID; daughter, Karen Jackson Bray of Lexington, SC; and twin daughter and son, Kimberly Jackson of Hendersonville, NC and Timothy Jackson of Lynchburg, VA. In addition to her children, survivors also include 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service honoring Peggy and her late husband, Earl will be held at Friendship Baptist Church 5801 Friendship Rd. Barnwell, SC 29812 on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at 11:00 AM.
Dyches Funeral Home, Barnwell, SC and Jackson Funeral Service, Hendersonville, NC are assisting the family with the arrangements.
