Barnwell – Sebastian Ivy Alexander Hutchens entered eternal peace Saturday, February 27, 2016. Funeral service will be held Thursday, March 3, 2016 at 11:00 am with visitation one hour prior at Dyches Funeral Home Chapel; burial at Double Pond Baptist Cemetery with Father Anthony Bryant of St. Catherine Orthodox Christian Church officiating. Pall bearers will be Caleb Thompson, C.J. Hutchens, Kyle Sebring and Clif Fomby.
Sebastian is the son of Michael Anthony Hutchens and Elaine Welsh Sebring. He was a ray of sunshine and a blessing to the world. He is missed by all.
Sebastian is survived by two sisters, Kayla Nicole Hutchens and Madison Aubrey Hutchens; maternal grandparents David Glenn and Paige Lindsay Sebring of Lexington; paternal grandparents Belinda H. Hutchens of Blackville and Anthony David Hutchens of Columbia; great-grandparents Janice and Tom Cullinan of West Columbia, Samuel LeRoy Sebring of Swansea, Col.(USARet) Robert S. Lindsay of Alabama, Cynthia and Harry Oberlies of Columbia, Peggy H. and David Gunnells of Blackville, Brenda Hartzog of Pelion, June and Harry Duncan of Georgia; great-great grandmother Betty McWhorter of Columbia and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Sebastian was preceded in death by paternal great grandfather Duward Belmont Hartzog, maternal great grandmother Shirbie Lovvorn Lindsay and great-great grandfather Ivy Glenn McWhorter.
The family has entrusted Dyches Funeral Home and Crematory with arrangements.
