George “Ray” Renew, Jr.

Barnwell – George “Ray” Renew, Jr., 58, went into eternal rest on July 17, 2021 at A U Medical Center surrounded by family. Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 21, at 3 p.m. at Dyches Funeral Home Chapel, 11372 Ellenton Street, Barnwell, S.C. with the Rev. Timothy Gunnells officiating. Burial will follow at Barnwell County Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Pall Bearers; Rudy Hubbard, Scotty Owens, Chris Owens, Neal Still, Jeffrey Birt, Robbie Rice, J. S. Carroll, Phil Brock and Tim Ragsdale.
Ray was the son of the late George Ray Renew, Sr. and Barbara Coates Renew. He was a 1981 graduate of Barnwell High School. He was retired from Dixie Narco of Williston and was currently employed at Swiss Krono of Barnwell. Ray was an avid fisherman and hunter. He loved Georgia Bulldogs football, golfing, farming and was a western movie enthusiast. Ray loved spending time with family, friends and will be missed by many.
Survivors include his sister, Trina Lee Adams of Simpsonville, S.C.; one niece, Bailey Adams of Simpsonville, S. C.; his partner Ginger Rogers of Waynesboro, GA and his fur baby Wiley.
