John Harry Crosby

Bamberg – John Harry Crosby Jr, 72, entered into eternal rest on Friday October 18th at Pruitt Health in Orangeburg, SC. Services will be held Sunday, October 20th at 3:00 pm at Dyches Funeral Home Chapel in Barnwell with the Rev. Kenneth Hanks officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service. Burial following in Bamberg Memory Gardens.
Born in Fairfax, SC he was the son of the late John Harry Crosby and Thelma Louise Mixon. He attended Greenbranch Pentecostal Holiness Church. He was an avid music lover and he loved to dance. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend and will be missed by many.
Survivors include three daughters; Felicia (Eric) Grooms, of Orangeburg, Tina (Scott) Esbensen of Lexington, Diana Crosby of Bamberg; three sons; Scott (Belinda) Crosby of Punta Gorda, Florida, Brandon Crosby, and Phillip Crosby, of Bamberg; four sisters; Doris Dyches, of Greenwood, Carolyn Bolen, of Blackville, Louise Dyches, of Bamberg, and Ruby Lee Spires of Columbia; four brothers; Leonard Crosby, of Greenwood, Willie James (Janet) Crosby, of Dublin, GA, Charles Crosby of Bamberg, and Tom Randolph (Mary Jo) Crosby of Orangeburg; nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a special friend, Phillip Marvin Henry.
The family has entrusted Dyches Funeral Home and Crematory with the arrangements.
