Kathleen M. Darnell

Barnwell – Kathleen M. Darnell, 87, went into eternal rest surrounded by family at Cresent Hospice on February 8, 2021. A private graveside service will be held Thursday, February 11, 2021 at Barnwell County Memorial Cemetery with Rev. H. B. “Sunny Mooney III, officiating.
Kathleen was born in England, April 22, 1933 to the late James and Sarah Maguinness. She was married for 59 years to the late John W. Darnell. She was a lifelong member of Ghents Branch Baptist Church. She was retired from Milliken. Kathleen was a loving mother and grandmother and will be missed by many.
Kathleen is survived by her three daughters, Vicky (Herman) Wood of Barnwell, Barbara (David) Crosby of Brunson, Sandra (Charles) Yates of Columbia. One son, Roy (Angela) Maguinness of England and son-in-law Mark Woodman of Barnwell. She also had six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ghents Branch Baptist Church for Annie Armstrong or Lottie Moon Missions, 946 Hilda Road Barnwell, SC 29812.
The family has entrusted Dyches Funeral Home and Crematory of Barnwell with the arrangements.
